Hill School PTSA presents 19th Annual Spelling Bee
The Fred W. Hill School Annual Spelling Bee returned for its 19th year this year, after a year on hiatus due to COVID-19 restrictions.
Families of the finalists were welcomed to Hill School to watch the students compete in a final, championship round.
Congratulations to all of the spelling bee participants and finalists, and a special congratulations to this year's winners! Fourth-grade finalists included Santino, Zander, Andrew, Lily, and the 2021-22 champion, Nick. Fifth-grade finalists included Jackson, Jennalyn, Jack, Caleb and this year's champion, Maleia.
Thank you to the Hill School PTSA for donating the money needed to purchase the tee shirts and certificates for the spelling bee competitors. Thank you, as well, to the Hill School Store for donating the money for the ten dictionaries that were awarded to the top five finalists at each grade level.
Lastly, thank you to the Spelling Bee Committee: Mr. Albrecht, Ms. Norment, Ms. Drisdom, Mrs. Casper, Mr. Hunsinger, Mr. Jackson, Mr. Broughton, Mrs. Hoenk, Mrs. Parker, Mrs. Spuillante, Mrs. Zweibel and Mrs. Wilson and to the Fred W. Hill Custodial Staff for your help throughout the week.
