Golden Apple Award
Rebecca Rossier, a fifth-grade ELA teacher at Hill Elementary School, was surprised with the News 8 Golden Apple Award this week.
Payton Colt, a student of Ms. Rossier's, nominated her for this impressive award and wrote:
"(Ms. Rossier) is kind, funny, on-task and giving. She makes jokes up as she goes, laughs a lot and has a positive attitude. She has empathy for her students and fellow staff members. One of the most important qualities a teacher needs is to be caring. Ms. Rossier knows when something is wrong and will help with the problem."
"As this is Rebecca's first year as a teacher, this award shows her dedication, commitment and love of teaching," said Hill Principal Tina Colby.
Rossier’s Golden Apple Award presentation will be aired on Tuesday, March 15 on News 8.
